Description:
Four plants of B73 were grown  in the greenhouse until they reached the third true leaf stage.To identify novel genes associated with Sugar mosaic virus (SCMV)
maize line B73 susceptible to SCMV was inoculated with previously characterized SCMV  isolate (SCMV-Ver1). The youngest leaves were collected 17dpi from mock-inoculated 
and SCMV infected leave tissues for transcriptome analysis.


Total RNA was isolated from the leave tissues using TRIzol reagent (Thermo Fisher, Waltham, MA,USA) following the manufacturer's instructions.
RNA-seq reads were mapped by MaizeGDB to Zm-B73-REFERENCE-NAM-5.0. using STAR. Bigwig files were generated using bedtools genomecov -split -scale 1.0 
followed by kentUtils bedGraphToBigWig.
